PHILIPPINES: Street Sweeper’s Hat--Shit Happens

Early morning on the Magsaysay strip in Olongapo, a city of domestic immigrants. A wide variety of the 100-some dialects spoken in the Philippines are found in Olongapo. This man’s first language is not Tagalog, nor does he speak English. This is also true of many of the women when they first arrive in Olongapo.
