PHILIPPINES: The Jungle The bar areas reflect the culture and practices of U.S. mainland segregation. The Jungle of Rizal Avenue is where African-American service personnel congregate. As in the predominately Euro-American areas, a number of the women selling their sexual labor are daughters of a previous generation of women working in this section of the economy. Most women have one or more children and try to provide education for their children as a way out. It is exceedingly difficult to accomplish this parental task. |
