KOREA: Sock It

Military personnel lack even the rudimentary knowledge of Korean and they find it difficult to use public transportation. They are essentially confined to the base and contiguous bar areas. The African-American bar area is the DMZ (Dark Man’s Zone). Outside of drinking and purchasing sexual labor, primarily, of women, recreational opportunities for the guys are quite limited. Video-game rooms, pool halls, and these punching machines help to pass the time.
